A collaboration between Focus SUP Hawaii and SUP shaper Ofir Ram led to a very unique and rule breaking board, the SUPER FAST.

Based on the Cali and Bluefin models, and just as it sounds, it is one of the fastest boards out there. To create the SUPER FAST, we combined years of knowledge and experience to construct the crown jewel of the SUP RACE world. A truly unique board, it is ideal for flatwater gliding and features elements that allow it to be SUPER FAST in up and downwind and in open ocean. Because of its high volume and speed, the SUPER FAST catches even the slightest bumps. It might feel a bit wobbly standing still because of the shape on both sides of the bottom of the board, but once you start to stroke, the speed, high volume, and thick rails give a stable and fast feeling.

NOSE – A high-volume, piercing nose allows the board to slice through the water, and results in an effortless glide that maintains speed through bumps.

TAIL – When constructing the tail, we chose a balance width that isn’t too wide and creates little resistance, yet has enough volume to provide stability. Extra volume in the back of the board gives excellent buoyancy when pushing the board forward and maximizes speed while paddling in open ocean.

BOTTOM – A deep concave throughout the length of the board helps maintain paddling angle, as well as equal water dump towards the tail. This creates the ultimate glide on the air that runs between the sides of the board. In addition, we created two steps along the rails, enhancing the speed and glide time of the whole board. These steps are flattened towards the fin and tail of the board to make it ideal for buoy lapping, and to maneuver on ocean waves.

DECK – We created a dug-out area in the middle of the board that allows paddle racers to lower their center of gravity and get a substantial gain in stability.

The support between all of the elements incorporated in the board and the precise rocker lead to a speed flight experience when paddling on the SUPER FAST.

The SUPER FAST comes in two widths, 25.5’’ is suitable for those who wish to take it one step forward at fast paddling or paddle racing, and 23” PRO edition for experienced or light weight racers.
